About Ugo
This is not the story of a bag, it is only a consequence. A consequence of Alessia and Ugo’s story.
I’m Alessia, the human, and I came to Paris to follow my husband.
He’s Ugo, my wire-haired dachshund. He came into my life a year after my arrival in Paris. It was the first time in my life that I found myself alone, far from everything I knew, with a lot of spare time in my hands. Only those who have a dog know how these little furry friends can easily slip into your life. They can give a complete, all-embracing, and unconditional love. In our case, this love is reciprocated.
Like all Dachshund owners, I soon understood the reasons why this is an extra-ordinary breed. Not only for their shape, even though it’s certainly something that must be considered: their long and fragile back needs extra attention and must be treated with care.
Being used to carry Ugo with me all the time (on the bus, on the bike, on long walks in the mountains, on trips out of town or to a restaurant for dinner) I understood that I required a specific bag for me to carry him. After months of research and unsuitable purchases, I decided that his bag could only be designed based on Ugo and on his needs, with his wellbeing in mind.
This is how this first line of bags was created, designed and patented: by having in mind their well-being and our comfort, with a focus on the style. We all know it: owners and dogs look alike and choose each other. When you see him walking proudly, you immediately understand that among other things, he is a very stylish dog… just like you.
Why Ugo?
We wanted a dachshund-sized bag that allowed us to go everywhere: long enough to comfortably hold him while he lies down in his natural resting position all the while enveloping him with a hug-shaped form. We then added a very light but rigid base, capable of supporting him along his entire length, so as not to subject his back to unnecessary stress. Finally, we created a cushion allowing him to keep his snout out in the open while being well supported.
We have thought about his well-being first and foremost with an eye open for the style so that the bags become not only comfortable but also very stylish for the owners. The design allows you indeed to use it and fold it up when your pet no longer needs it, putting it back in its case or in your bag, so as for it not to clutter your daily routine.
We love and care for beautiful things and quality: our bags are 100% made in Italy, we worked hard to find the best materials and the most expert craftsmen to make our bags, testing them many times, patenting them to be sure that we were offering an extraordinary product. With its simple and minimalistic shape, our bag can be used anytime, since it was designed to offer both to your dachshund and yourself unbeatable comfort.
