Will my dachshund fit in the bag?

All the bags’ models have the same length of 62 cm when fully open; by tightening the side drawstrings to their maximum, they can be shortened up to 5 cm (keep in mind that they are designed to leave the snout’s side open, unless there is a particular need to close it).
The XL model is thought to carry the standard dachshunds and is 72 cm (length) when fully open.

Please note that it is not necessary to entirely close the drawstring to his maximum: it is sufficient to tighten the drawstring to avoid that your puppy slipping out.

What’s the maximum weight the bag can carry?

The bags are tested for dogs up to 15kg. However, we think it would be hard for you to carry them if your dachshund weighs more than 7-8kg.

Anyhow, if your dachshund is a little heavy, we would recommend a backpack, which will allow you to better distribute the weight.
This is the reason why we made only the backpack model for standard dachshunds.

Is there any danger for my furry friend to jump out?

Absolutely not: the safety of both you and your pet is a priority for us. All bags are equipped with a safety hook for the collar and a safety net to close the top of the bag so that your dachshund cannot try to “take off”, perhaps by unbalancing you.

Are the bags waterproof?

All Cordura models are waterproof.

Can I use the bag for other small dogs?

Surely, as long as the size of the dog is such that it does not feel “constrained” inside the bag. While we do not think that a French bulldog would be comfortable inside the bag, we believe that a Jack Russell or a small Maltese could be very comfortable in our bag, while protecting its back from inappropriate positions (such as vertical transportation).

Once we have received your return, we will proceed to check the product and refund your purchase using the same payment method used, provided that the product’s condition is such as to allow it (the product must be intact, clean and must not have been used).
